Germ Free with Belo Baby Hand Sanitizers

Friday, January 20, 2017

Okay, admit it… what’s the three things you ALWAYS find in a mom’s bag? Sort of the trifecta of every OC moms?! Isn’t it wipes, tissue, and sanitizer?! Well, it is for me. My mommy bag is not complete with these three things.

Mommies are always ready!

I really can’t leave home without these, especially hand sanitizers. For me, hand sanitizers are really a necessity nowadays. I’ve learned the hard way how easily germs and bacteria can be transmitted thru touch. My two boys are already in school and virus really gets around in their class. And when they get sick, it’s so hard to catch up! The only thing I can do is to teach them to keep their hands clean washing their hands or using hand sanitizers.

I recently discovered Belo Baby Hand Sanitizers. I like that it’s handy and comes in three fresh scents: my bunso likes Peach, I like Blueberry, while my little Kuya likes Green Apple. They say it smells like Skittles candies! Me, I just love the fruity scent of the Blueberry.

"Mommy, the Peach is mine!"

Good thing they like to use it because it kills 99.9% of germs and bacteria. Makes it easy for me to keep their hands clean. Another plus for me is that it is hypoallergenic and formulated without harmful chemicals.

I also like it better than alcogels. You know how alcogels leave that soapy feeling after using it? Like you soaped but didn’t rinse well? The Belo Baby Hand Sanitizers has glycerin that leaves the skin moisturized.

Not only for kids...

I know there are many baby products already out there but I do recommend trying out the Belo Baby line, especially the Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer… Crafted with care for the most delicate skin, for the most meticulous moms.

Dinner with McCormick Noodle and Seasoning Mix Starter Kit

Thursday, December 1, 2016

Annyeonghaseyo! I'm such a fan of Korean culture... the koreanovelas, the fashion, beauty products, and most especially the food. But trying to cook Korean food is a bit intimidating for me since I have such limited cooking skills. A product like Chap Chae McCormick Noodle and Seasoning Mix Starter Kit is just perfect for me.

The pack comes with sesame oil, Chap Chae seasoning, and noodles.

At the back of the package is a list of additional ingredients and instructions how to put it all together. You need spinach leaves, thinly sliced carrot strips, thinly sliced sirloin, and sliced shitake mushrooms as well. We used up our shitake, so had to improvised with canned mushrooms. It's also an acceptable replacement just in case shitakes are not available.

I sauteed my beef, carrots, and mushroom in oil. While I was letting my beef cook, I boiled the noodles for 5 minutes and rinsed it in cold water after. I also disolved the seasoning mix in 1/4 cup of water. I mixed this in the sautee mixture along with the spinach and noodles. Wait until the spinach is a bit wilted and that's it!

Professional looking Chap Chae that the whole family can enjoy. The pack serves 4... but I think for us it's just good for 3!

It was a complete and healthy meal done in minutes. No stress! My kids love noodles and pasta, so this is one thing I think I will start stocking in my pantry for those I-don't-know-what-to-cook-for-dinner moments.

Here's some recommendations:

  1. Hubby loves a bit of crunch, he suggests adding peanuts next time. I know, it's not a Korean thing, but could be a nice touch.
  2. I should have sliced the beef even thinner and in strips.
  3. I want to add more sesame seeds next time. There's already sesame seeds in the seasoning mix, but I prefer my chap chae with more sesame seeds.
All in all, this Chap Chae Mc Corming Noodle and Seasoning Mix is a success in our household. As you can see, our Robin approves! You should try it too and let me know what you think!

McCorminck Noodle and Seasoning Mix Starter Kit is available in your suking grocery stores!

Book Launch: The Toddler Travels

Friday, May 6, 2016

Summer is in full swing. Many have gone to trips already but if you have a toddler and still undecided whether to go on a trip or not, here's a helpful guide book, The Toddler Travels Tips and Thoughts on Your Little One's First Vacation Abroad.

Genevieve Gutierrez-Figueroa, a first time author and mother to a toddler, loved to travel with her family. Months before her 40th birthday, she was looking for something to do to mark the special day. She then thought of writing a book about traveling with toddlers. With her birthday looming, she decided to jump into it and publish the book herself.

The book is wonderfully interpreted by Monica Esquivel, an illustrator and graphic designer. As seen on the book, it is obviously inspired by Gen's daughter, Giana.

Sometimes when food tastes good I often wonder if it's really good for me. I love to eat bad food! Guilty of snacking on chicharon, chocolates and chips. But I'm really making an effort to live healthier lately.  My Dad keeps on telling me that a few years from now, 1 out of 4 adults will be obese. Gosh... and I feel I'm heading to that path.
