Book Launch: The Toddler Travels

Friday, May 6, 2016

Summer is in full swing. Many have gone to trips already but if you have a toddler and still undecided whether to go on a trip or not, here's a helpful guide book, The Toddler Travels Tips and Thoughts on Your Little One's First Vacation Abroad.

Genevieve Gutierrez-Figueroa, a first time author and mother to a toddler, loved to travel with her family. Months before her 40th birthday, she was looking for something to do to mark the special day. She then thought of writing a book about traveling with toddlers. With her birthday looming, she decided to jump into it and publish the book herself.

The book is wonderfully interpreted by Monica Esquivel, an illustrator and graphic designer. As seen on the book, it is obviously inspired by Gen's daughter, Giana.

Thursday, April 28, 2016

Motherhood is indeed a journey. It's full of challenges, both fun and frustrating. Good thing there are events like Expo Mom to help us navigate through motherhood. Every year, Mommy Mundo brings fun and exciting things at Expo Mom. This year's theme is The Motherhood Journey and Mommy Mundo wants all moms to share their own journey through a giveaway.

Sometimes when food tastes good I often wonder if it's really good for me. I love to eat bad food! Guilty of snacking on chicharon, chocolates and chips. But I'm really making an effort to live healthier lately.  My Dad keeps on telling me that a few years from now, 1 out of 4 adults will be obese. Gosh... and I feel I'm heading to that path.

Have a Mathemagis Summer!

Tuesday, April 5, 2016

I do believe summer is supposed to be for fun and games but it won't hurt keeping our kids' minds sharp. Let your kids be one step ahead when they go back in school with Mathemagis' Singapore Summer Programs.

For preschoolers 4 years to 6 years, there is "Best Start to Be Smart". It involves hands on activities that makes Math fun. This will also help kids build confidence that will help them eventually in big school.

For older kids there is "Visual Thinking Math", it tackles more problem solving. It is still presented in a fun and easy way using the Singapore Math's bar model strategy.
Math doesn't have to be a scary subject and we can help nurture our kids' develop their love for numbers with Mathemagis.

Check out the sessions available by visiting their website at www.mathemagis.com and FB page at www.facebook.com/mathemagis or visit any of our branches in Serendra (833.7374), Makati (556.5109), Katipunan (225.6330), Timog Avenue (261.1611) and SM Pasig (209.8128). Wishing for Baby No. 3

Tuesday, March 8, 2016

I'm in my late 30s. It pains me to admit it, but I am. Which means my biological clock is ticking like crazy. I want another baby but it's hard to make one alone. My husband, the practical one, has refused to give in to my request to try for another baby. With the rising cost of education, not to mention all the other child-rearing expenses, he feels he won't be able to provide for all the needs of three kids.

Playtime at Jump Yard

Thursday, February 11, 2016

Having two energetic and makulit boys, I'm always on the lookout for places they can release their energy. They do love going to play gyms but I usually don't find it fun going inside with them. I mean, I just stand there and scream at them when they get too rowdy. But now, I found a place both parents and kids can enjoy and it's so near our house!

Jump Yard is a new indoor trampoline playground located at Frontera Verde, between Fun Ranch and the Avilon Zoo (previously the Blue Whale Restaurant).
