I am LOVED...

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

It's my first Mother's Day last Sunday and I was quick to demand a gift from my husband. But being not so good with surprises, he asked me what I wanted. Sigh! I haven't trained him well on giving gifts. He still keeps on asking me what I want. I don't understand why he can't be creative and just ask my best friend or read my blog. I blab about stuff I want here anyway.

I had several things I wanted. I couldn't decide which one until I remembered the Adidas promo. So, I told him I'd look for an old pair of sneakers I can exchange to get new ones on discount.

My old Nike was peeling off already. I didn't get to wear it for a year since I got pregnant, the sole must've gotten brittle over time. My sweet husband glued it together for me. Whenever he does little things like that, I realize how he must really love me. Even after 11 year (yes, ELEVEN...) of being together, it still gets better everyday.

my panganay putting my shoes together. had to crop the pic to hide his belly!

He had work at Edsa Shangri-la today so he told me we'd check out Adidas there. We ended up not using my Nike shoes because the sneakers I got was on sale already. P1900... not bad! I didn't need anything fancy, just good reliable sneakers to run on.

He's quite OC (obsessive compulsive) too. He checked the whole shoe for any damage and made sure it fit me well. He's so sweet. He can be annoying sometimes but I can be bitchy as well, so I guess we're even.

I promised him a nice Father's Day gift. I already know what I want to give him. I just need help getting it.

Thank again Be, I wabyu!

We want YOUR shoes!!!

I've been trying to get the post-pregnancy weight off for a couple of months now. It's been a struggle to find time between work and spending time with my baby. But I wanna look hot on his first birthday so I'm trying to psyche myself. I also promised myself I would join at least one marathon this year. I haven't started running though, because I found out my old rubber shoes is not fit for exercise anymore. I need new ones! Okay, so maybe I'm just looking for an excuse to buy a new pair... But Adidas gave me a sign that this is the best time to grab a pair!

Adidas wants our old shoes! Bring an old pair to any Adidas shop and in exchange they'll take as much as P1,000 off your next purchase of any Adidas shoes. Here's the mechanics:

1. Bring in your old sport shoes of any brand to receive:
a. P500 OFF your new purchase worth P1,500-P2,999
b. P1,000 OFF your new purchase worth P3,000 and up
2. Each discount value is applicable for only one pair of shoes purchased. Bring in as many old pairs to get discounts on as many new shoes!
3. Only accepts 'sports shoes' of ANY BRAND (no sandals, high heels, flats, leather, or infant shoes). Old sport shoes have to be in decent condition and still functional.
4. All old shoes will be donated to Pamulaan Center for Indigenous People Foundation.
5. Promo Period runs from May 1-17, 2009

This would be a great opportunity to clean up our shoe closet, start getting fit, get a discount shopping AND most of all, help others.

The Pamulaan Center for Indigenous People Foundation aims to develop, preserve and share the rich culture of our indigenous brothers and sisters. The word Pamulaan is a lumad-Matigsalog word for seedbed.

Mommy BagHag

Thursday, January 15, 2009

A few days ago, my guy friend who lives in Cebu asked me where to find great diaper bags coz he couldn't find nice ones in the malls there. I suggested Baby Couture. I have seen them in malls here in Manila and find their bags functional and fashionable. They're reasonably priced too!

We already have a diaper bag but since one is never enough for me, I'm thinking of getting a second one from Baby Couture.

For a more utilitarian style, I prefer these...

But when mommy wants to dress up, I'd rather tote these from their Mecca Collection...

Of course, I told my friend that diaper bags should be daddy-friendly. After all, when it's just the baby and parents at the mall, guess who usually carries the bag?! That's why our diaper bag is from Adidas coz hubby loves anything Adidas.

But if I had the cash... I'd check out Juicy Couture and Coach! Or maybe this one from Tod's (I saw this one at Tot Snob).

Then again, it's $1,350... imagine how many cans of milk I can buy with that?!
