Baby M.A.C.

I've always associated MAC with my mom. She sources most of her MAC straight from Canada where it's cheaper and the hard-to-find shades here in Phil are more available. Which means... if my mommy buys it, it must be expensive. Well, not for all products. I was pleasantly surprised that their face powder/foundation was affordable enough for me. I'm very attached to my powder and waited till there's none left before I bought a new one. I'm also picky about the shade. I'm not one to hide my morena skin. I relish it actually. Hence, I don't like looking pasty-white on my face while my neck and the rest of me is actually darker.

My brands compose of Revlon, L'Oreal and Maybelline which fits in my budget. I'm happy I decided to try the MAC Studio Fix (my shade is NC42)! For P1,500... not bad!

My friend, MN, who works for CAS (Center for Aesthetic Studies) swears MAC is one of the best. During one of our get togethers, she ended up putting make up on all of us. We raided my mom's MAC loot and she played with colors I wouldn't try myself. Now I'm wanting some more MAC (I stole some from my mom already... ooops)...

maybe some Shadesticks... for quick eyeshadow application

Solar Field Bronzing Powder because I love the sun kissed look

and Viva Glam lipsticks

I need to update my make up kit... me want something like this... the one on the left is MN's and the one on the right is my mom's. The little bag there is mine. Poor me...

The urge to splurge!

Saturday, August 9, 2008

I went shopping with my friend last weekend. We usually try less-spending each other... meaning, we wished the other would spend more than the other did. Hahaha! To make ourselves feel better with our shopping loot! I won big time after she splurged on these Seven jeans. It was on sale and I felt it was a good bargain... but she felt so guilty after! She already bought two pairs of shoes before this one.

But I had to tell her... the fit was great and it was indeed on sale. Relatively big discount from full price. I'd rather go for quality than quantity. Besides, in her line of work she gets to wear jeans which means return on investment is faster.

If it's any consolation, I told her if I wasn't pregnant, I probably would've gotten a pair too. I wanted a wide-legged pants also on discount.

Sigh... good thing I was pregnant! I just ended up buying my face powder from MAC, a GAP sandals on sale and also a shirt for hubby.

Cinderella!!!

Guess who's watching Cinderella for free... nice front seats!!!

Woohoo! August 10, matinee show, I will be watching Lea Salonga with husband and parents.

Can't wait!!!

Blog Manila

Notice I've been posting so much lately... I found time this morning and look what I've found?!

front of the jacket...

Cool huh?! They found it in some store in the states. I was blog-hopping checking out some fashion ideas when I found this blog... Professionally Trendy by a lady named Sabrina. Blog is quite new but a nice read too.

The heels are alive...

Aside from Coke and coffee, wearing heels is just one of the things I've stopped doing ever since I found out I was pregnant. After a slight mishap in the office (i tripped over my friend's heels) which left me bruised, I didn't wanna risk it.

I miss wearing heels! Oh, I miss Coke and coffee too!

But, how I'd love to walk in town wearing these!!!

Why I haven't been shopping...

... because I'm not "allowed" to drive unless I use the automatic...
... because it's frustrating when your tummy grows faster than your wardrobe does...
... because mommy said she shopped maternity clothes for me, I wanna see first what she got before I add my own ooommph!
... because I feel guilty, shouldn't I be shopping for the baby instead?! (naks! pa-cheeseburger na dapat ako!)

But today I might finally go out... if my friend confirms our mall-date.

HARRY POTTER & THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE

I've never anticipated anything in my life (maybe except my wedding and my soon-to-be-baby...) like I do with Harry Potter books and movies...

Here's the official trailer for the Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince movie. It's the sixth book and the second to the last movie before we totally bid Harry and his friends goodbye.
