Restlessness.
Discontent.
I'm often restless. Like there's a need to be some place else doing some other thing thinking that would make me happier. I'd start to hate what I'm doing but unlike other people who are quick to resign and look for other jobs, I complain instead and grit my teeth until I finally can't take it anymore. I have, after all, bills to pay and shopping urges to satisfy. That keeps me motivated for awhile.
Argh! I'm bored.
Maybe it's the weather.

My high school friend sent this to me and with my current state here in the office I thought it was just apt to post it... I know some of you can share my sentiments...
1. "boss, makinig ka kaya sa akin!"
2. "puwede ba, busy ako? "
3. "make your own f--ing letters and presentations."
4. "if challenges are more important than financial rewards, then why won't you just trade in your salary for my challenges? "
5. "Of the 10 assignments you gave me the past three days, can you please decide which one is really "the most important and crucial and is to be submitted ASAP?"
6. "absent ako today. wala lang, ayokong makita ka eh..."
7. "uwi na ako ha. bahala ka na dito sa opis.. "
8. "boss, puede bang taasan mo sueldo ko? ang hirap ksi ng trabaho ko eh, pakisamahan ang isang kagaya mo! "
9. "ano?!! di mo alam mag-print? sayang ang laptop mo ma'am. "
10. "if you really think it's THAT important, di ikaw gumawa"
11. " uh, di ka ba nahihilo sa kaka-solitaire mo? gusto mo magtrabaho naman for a change? "
12. "Huli kayo! nanonood din pala kayo ng VCD ha!"
13. "Sir, lahat ng kelangan niyo nandyan na.. kelangan niyo lang tingnan mabuti!"
14. "nagtataka talaga ako kung bakit napunta ka sa puwestong yan. "
15. "Basahin mo muna ang LAHAT ng e-mail messages mo bago mo sabihin na hindi ko pa nagagawa yung pinagawa mo."
16. "kabit mo ba yung prinomote mo?"
17. "do you feel threatened by my genius?"
18. "I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce."
19. "I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant."
20. " I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter."
21. "di yan kasama sa job description ko, 'no"
22. "if i do what you tell me to, will this change the world?"
23. "is it your good looks, your family connection or your charming disposition kaya ka andyan sa puwesto mo? it definitely has nothing to do with your intellect"
24. "okay lang umabsent ka. it does not really make a dent here in the office. mas maaga pa kaming makaka lunch"

Looking forward to watching M.I. 3 and Da Vinci Code (if it doesn't get banned otherwise I have to wait for the pirated dvds to come out).
Looking forward to watching my favorite inaanak in her ballet recital at the end of the month.

So Long...
It's been awhile since my last post. I blame work. Too busy to sneak in a little blog time at work and too tired to do it at home. It's been crazy around here in the office. We moved from the 3rd floor to the 9th. They gave me this nice cozy nook. Keeps me hidden when I don't want to be found.
Between doing other people's backlog and my own I suddenly ask myself if this is where I want to be. But as long as the money keeps coming enough to pay my credit card bills and shopping binges I can't really complain.
If something comes along, would it be evil of me to suddenly leave here? I'm a month away from being permanent. And somehow I feel bad just leaving my team hanging when they've just started recuperating from a terrible mass resignation before I arrived. I also enjoy being with most of my officemates, although I wish I could talk to someone who shares my passion for fashion.
I dunno... I just think gone were the days when people stayed in one company for decades. Omigosh! Imagine doing the same thing over and over and over and over...
Obviously I'm getting bored...

I read in Philippine Star last saturday that a group of people are lobbying MTRCB to ban the showing of the movie The Da Vinci Code. They also claim that the book should also be banned because it violates a certain penal code because of the nature of its story.
Duh!
I wish people would give other people credit to be able to think for themselves. Banning something only ignites curiousity. And as if we won't try to be resourceful and get pirated copies of the movie instead. Also, as if people haven't read the book too!
It's people like these... with narrow-minded perception of the world... that started the Inquisition. Aren't we taking a huge step back from civilization? I just don't understand these people?! Makes me believe there's a huge conspiracy behind Christianity!
My parents will be in the US by May 31 and my Dad will be watching the movie there. Dang it!!!

A little over two weeks ago when I came back from a business trip in Bacolod, I had a severe case of LBM. I apparently ate too much oysters. And probably chicken inasal too. I mean, how could I resist when a plate full of oysters cost only P30!!!
The week after that when I came back from a business trip in Cabanatuan, I had UTI. So, off to the doctor again. UTI antibiotics, unfortunately, are very expensive. P2000 down the drain!
A couple of days after that while on my way to work I felt really dizzy and nauseous... no, I'm not pregnant. That would've been better coz then the dizziness and nausea would've been temporary. I was so pale my boss felt sorry for me and sent me home. I couldn't drive so I called our driver to come pick me up and bring me home and left my car in the office. I was bedridden for the next two days. My lab exams showed everything was normal but our physician suspected vertigo so she gave me medicines. I went to an ENT for check up and she told me I had positional vertigo (actually, the name was longer than that I just couldn't remember all the words). Sickness usually of people in their 50s. Go figure why I have it! She said there was no cure. Just manage it with medicines and exercises specifically for vertigo. In short... I had to live with it.
I promised my mom once I start feeling dizzy I'll stop the car and not attempt to drive.
What the hell is wrong with me!

For the Holy Week, my family and I are off to Tagaytay for some R & R just for a night. Dad wants to play golf in Highlands while the rest of us amuse ourselves at the Spa or sports area.
Hope all of you have a nice break!
